Endwell
With their debut cd released on Hallowe’en, Endwell made an entrance to the scream to dream movement. Ever since the Smashing Pumpkins brought the whisper to a scream technique to mainstream, many other bands have followed suit and now the modern version is the scream to dream style. Other bands like Atreyu, Alexisonfire and As I Lay Dying have also done well with this combination. Endwell seems to succeed in that vein also. The video single released “Single and Loving It” is a testament to that. Most other tracks are very similarly styled but unique enough to catch the distinction between tracks. One straight ahead tune “Fever White” may draw in some other listeners that prefer something softer and more controlled while those who crave more aggression may prefer “Whine and Dine”. It’s worth checking these guys out either way. It’s a solid debut release.
